The Black Panther Porcelain Ashtray reinterprets one of the most iconic motifs in traditional American tattoo culture through the refined medium of Chinese underglaze porcelain. Bold, primal, and unmistakably graphic, the roaring panther becomes both a symbol of power and a statement of visual permanence.

Unlike surface decoration, underglaze painting is created directly on the ceramic body before being covered with a transparent glaze and fired at high temperature. Through this process, the artwork becomes permanently embedded within the porcelain itself — protected beneath the glaze rather than resting on the surface.

The result is a compact yet visually striking piece defined by contrast, depth, and durability. Smooth in luster, rich in texture, and refined in finish, it offers lasting resistance to fading, wear, and corrosion while preserving the clarity and intensity of the original artwork.

Designed as a small-format ashtray and collectible porcelain object, the piece measures 90 mm in diameter and 30 mm in height. Its glossy black exterior, monochrome interior, and fierce panther composition create a restrained but powerful presence — an encounter between old school tattoo heritage and Eastern ceramic craftsmanship.

Custom Bottom Mark Service

The bottom mark can be customized upon request for an additional fee.

Customers may personalize the base mark with selected text, initials, studio name, symbolic wording, or other approved content. When a custom bottom mark is applied, the original INKCLAW and Fuhai Sun artist signatures will still be retained in a smaller format, preserving the authenticity of the collaboration while allowing each piece to carry a more personal mark of ownership.
